THE PRICES OF THE MAIN MINING EXPORT PRODUCTS OF THE
DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO (DRC) SHOULD SHOW AN UPWARD TREND DURING THE FIRST
WEEK OF AUGUST 2022.
According to projections by the National Commission of Mercurials of the Ministry of Foreign Trade,
copper should sell up this week at 7,438.40 USD per ton against 7,237.05 USD per ton last week,
a slight increase in price. around 201.31 USD.
Zinc should sell this week at 3,080.75 USD per tonne against 3,011.20 USD per tonne last week,
an estimated price increase of 59.55 USD.
Regarding tin, it is also expected to register a slight increase in price in the market from 25,021.25
USD per ton last week to 25,200.00 USD per ton this week, a slight increase in price around
$178.75.
The price of gold would reach USD 1,772 an ounce on the international market, its highest level for
four weeks.
In addition, cobalt, which has fallen dramatically in recent months, will sell for USD 50,005.00 this
week, according to the London Stock Exchange.
After a month of July 2022 characterized by a significant decline in gold, in early August 2022 one
gram should trade at 55.76 USD against 55.35 USD in the last week of July 2022.
During this week, only the price of cobalt should register a downward trend, going from 53,749.00
USD per ton last week to 49,755.00 USD this week, i.e. a negative price difference of around 3
$994.
According to the market prices of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the price of mining products such
as silver and tantalum should remain stable during this week to sell respectively at 0.61 USD per
gram and 410.00 USD per kilo.
